WR GAPHTO Executives
Public Health Technical Officers which serve as the brain drain of the health sector in Ghana with thousands of members across the country has had the Western Regional Executives attend and endorsed a project “ACCELERATED ACTIONS TO IMPROVE MATERNAL AND NEW BORN SURVIVAL (AAIMNS) in Ellembele district. This was upon invitation by the District Director of Health Services Dr Marion Okor-Owusu who doubles as the President for Females in Medical Field,Nationwide .
Dr Mrs Marion mentioned the need for everyone to join in making sure Maternal Mortality which in 2018 was 199 per 100,000 live births in Ellembele is reduced to beat the national target of 54 deaths per 100,000 live births.
The programmme which was sponsored by ADAMUS RESOURCES LIMITED and supported by the District Assembly had the District Chief Executive (Hon Kwasi Bonzoh aka Bonzoh-K), Awulae and Director General representative in attendance.
GAPHTO W/R President (Mr MacJonas Kambe) mentioned that Technical Officers within and outside Ellembele will support to make sure the program is a success and maternal and new born deaths reduced.
