The recount was ordered by the High Court on December 20, due to irregularities in the initial collation process. This decision was made in response to a judicial review filed by six NPP candidates, who questioned the accuracy of the results.

Tensions have been running high in Nsawam Adoagyiri and other constituencies, with disruptions during the collation process and ongoing disputes over the election results. The NDC has contested the recount, arguing that the initial results from the polling stations should be final.

With Annoh-Dompreh’s victory confirmed, attention now turns to resolving the ongoing election disputes in other constituencies.
