Mr Francis Owusu-Akyaw, an aspiring NPP parliamentary candidate for Juaben constituency over the weekend sponsored a sensitization tour where members of his team educated people on how to stay safe from the viral disease, coronavirus.

The gesture formed part of efforts by the aspirant to keep residents informed on the need to keep safe at all times.
Speaking at separate community engagements, Lawyer Victor Kusi, lead educator, called on residents to keep themselves and surroundings tidy.
He noted that the constant washing of hands with soap under running water was the effective way of preventing one from contracting the dreaded viral disease.

“It is gratifying that you have been provided with veronica buckets and all items needed to enable you wash your hands and this is a clear testament that Mr Owusu AKYAW wants you safe from this disease”, Lawyer Kusi posted at the communities visited.
AWARENESS:
Lawyer Kusi said that the coronavirus was deadly and had the potential to break the immune system of humans.
He revealed that those highly vulnerable are those from the ages of 60 and upwards since these had frail immune systems.
Lawyer Kusi also disclosed that young children whose immune systems are fragile are at high risk and can easily be attacked by the virus.
He cautioned the people from loitering and asked that they stay at their homes so as to limit the spread and contraction of Covid-19 disease.
“I ask that all of us engage in education of our households so that we can stick to the protocols against Covid -19 which is to keep our hands washed at all times and also by applying hand sanitizers anytime we use the hand to carry out any act or exercise”, the lawyer advised.
COMMUNITIES:
Communities that benefited from this outdoor sensitization program were Bomfa, Ofoase, Nkyerepoa, Abetrim, and Odoyefe.
Other communities the team visited were Yaw Nkrumah, Krofromu, Kokodie and Juaben main township.
Accompanying Lawyer Kusi on the tour were some members from the Francis OWUSU-AKYAW campaign team including David Akomeah Asokwa, Kwaku Boateng, Akwasi Adarkwah, ISAAC Awuah, Osei Kwame, Hon Kwadwo Sarpong, and Isaac Yamoah.
Speaking to this reporter after the tour, some of the team members commended the aspirant for the show of concern for the people of Juaben and asked delegates to reward him with their votes in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.
