The report goes on to say that “all of the Nsawam Police District Day Patrols team and Toyota Pick-up No. GP 3030, driven by Issaka Yakubu, were involved in a motor accident while driving from Adeiso in the direction of Nsawam.”

The statement continued, “The police vehicle experienced a mechanical issue when it approached a section of the road at Uptown on Adeiso-Nsawam road. As a result, the suspect driver lost control of the vehicle, veered out of his lane, and collided with a Hyundai i10 taxicab from Nsawam to Adeiso, driven by suspect driver Felix Akuffo, 30, who had four occupants on board.
The victims were transferred to the Nsawam Government Hospital in the interim to receive medical attention.
