Contrary to some of our hopes, we didn’t make much progress in this capitulo getting our heroes out of danger. Only JM ends up in a somewhat better position – at least he is not in the Reptile’s clutches for now but he does have a run in with a reptile of which more below.
EV and his henchmen are out looking for Miggy and FF. Miggy is in some kind of pit. At first I thought it was one of those man traps but apparently not. Miggy gets FF into the pit with him and they hide there. EV walks around very close to where they are and says that he can smell them and believes they are very close.
Willy attacks Gael and tells him to get out of their house.
Clara tells the baby that she has gotten into a mess (“lio”). She knows that the baby isn’t hers but she cares for her as if she was. Camilo overhears this and tells Clara that she is a good person. They end up kissing.
The guy with the photo asking about JM tells Gus and Laura that he is a police officer from Bogotá looking for JM. Laura tells the guy that JM is dead but the guy wants evidence (unlike his US counterparts) that JM is dead and that the Reptile killed him. The guy tells Gus and Laura that they don’t have any authority in Colombia and should go back to the US.
EV goes back to the house to be with Jéssica and leaves Ringo in charge of searching for Miggy and FF.
Sam tells Willy not to let his jealousy get in the way of finding their daughter. Willy just keeps saying that Gael dispresptected (I hate to use that verb but it’s an easy translation of “falta de respeto,” which is what Willy keeps saying). Willy and Sam end up mad at each other just like they used to, which is nice to see again. Sam sure got her figure back quickly!
Miggy and FF climb out the the pit.
The Reptile wants the people in the town to help her find JM as payback for all the things she has done for them.
JM is in the woods and he gets bitten by a big snake (it looked like a python to me).
Laura has a “mal presientimento,” a bad feeling. Then EV’s guys come for her.
Gael finds Sam at the hospital and offers his help to get her baby back.
Jéssica (who is back in her gold hot pants) is so happy with her dad but she wants to call Nic. She also asks EV about what is going on with JM. EV tells her that it is best not to get involved with husbands and wives. (But JM isn’t married to the Reptile. This total non answer appears to satisfy Jéssica.)
The Reptile tells EV that she wants to punish JM for making her look like a fool and then escaping. She says that she knows how to do it.
Ringo calls EV and says that he has found Miggy and FF. Sure enough, Miggy and FF have found a building that just happens to have a bed in it and are going to use it to have sex when Ringo and his guys burst in. They take FF.
Gael tells Sam that he has an uncle who has a lot of influence. He arranges for Sam to meet this uncle and tell him everything that happened. Sam agrees.
Nic tells Willy that he can’t do his homework because he can only think of Jéssica. Jéssica calls Nic (with EV present). She tells him that she misses him. Then Laura comes in.
Gael reports on his meeting with Sam to D8D and asks for an advance. D8D nixes that.
Clara tells Camilo that she is a sinner – she can’t stop thinking about and desiring Camilo. Camilo replies that is what love is like. Clara says that she will divorce D8D to be with Camilo.
We see JM wake up in a bed in some house where outside it is pouring rain. Back in LA, Génesis and Angie pray to JM in heaven.
Ringo brings FF to EV. She is still in her bikini but is wearing a man’s long-sleeved shirt. Ringo, who always wears a vest and a short sleeved shirt is shirtless. EV almost shoots Ringo out of jealousy but Ringo manages to convince him that he lent FF his shirt to cover her up.
EV chides FF. He trusted her and she ran off with Miggy. FF asks what EV wants most. He says that he wants her love and her heart.
The bad guys have Miggy again. The Reptile comes in and gives him a gratuitous kick.
Willy and Sam make up in their usual manner – in bed. Sam asks Willy how he behaved when she was in the hospital. Willy swears that he would never have sex with another woman.
JM is in the house of one of EV’s guys (he looks like that guy who was monitoring the video when JM and the Reptile were having sex but JM killed him.) The guy says that JM was lucky – the snake that bit him wasn’t venomous. The guy makes it clear that he is just an employee of EV and an underpaid one. JM offers him money to let him escape.
While Willy and Sam are rolling around in bed, Willy gets a call from D8D. Does Willy know what Sam was doing this afternoon with Gael? Willy tells Sam that D8D is trying to separate them again but he won’t let him.
Laura asks EV about JM and Miggy. EV tells her that JM is dead and that Miggy is his business. She appears to be willing to leave it at that. Why did she bother to go to Colombia anyway? EV wants her to leave but the roads are flooded so she has to stay overnight.
JM offers his captor money and notes that EV didn’t even pay for him to get a decent prosthesis. The guy has an artificial leg.
The Reptile’s scheme to get back at JM is to have the brother of one of EV’s guys who is in LA, kidnap JC and bring him to Colombia. [EV warned the Reptile that if she put children at risk again he would kill her so it will be interesting to see how he reacts to this plan.]
EV has FF get dressed and made up and sets up a fancy dinner for her with champagne. FF starts knocking back the champagne [she doesn’t know that she’s pregnant and shouldn’t drink]. They end up in the bed. FF seems pretty out of it. EV is kissing her and taking her clothes off when she says, “Miguel.” That apparently acts as a bucket of cold water on EV. He leaves FF.
D8D’s call does not shake Willy’s belief that Sam would never betray him.
EV goes to Laura’s room and tells her to forget that he is EV and she is a police officer. They can just be Maria and Javier. They kiss.
Nora tells Angie that things are calm enough that it’s time for her to find the Reptile. [Eventually the whole cast will go to Colombia.] Angie gets a phone call – a guys tells her to get $3 million if she wants to see JM again.
Sam goes to supposedly meet Gael’s uncle. The uncle isn’t there. Gael makes some comforting moves on Sam and we see D8D using a camera with a telephoto lens to photo this. Sam tells Gael that he’s gone too far. Meanwhile, D8D has sent a text message to Willy with a photo of Sam saying this is what your woman is capable of doing for her child.
The Reptile shows up at Gus’ hotel room with a gun.
FF wakes up the next morning and asks EV what happened. He said that they had a marvelous night. [So EV is going to let FF believe that they had sex and when FF finds out that she is pregnant, she is going to assume that the baby is EV’s with predictable consequences.]
Finally, we see a guy slumped over the counter in a bar. Another guy comes up with a gun and pokes him. We see that the guy at the bar is Miggy. He looks up groggily and the guy with the gun says that he is a policeman. He calls Miggy “Jesús Matamoros.” So apparently EV has fulfilled his promise to let Miggy go but he has somehow given him the identity of a wanted criminal with predictable consequences.
