In an exclusive interview on Hello 101.5FM in Kumasi on Friday, June 30, 2017 during the evening drive show ‘Okwanso kosekose’ hosted by ‘Boneshaker’, the ‘Meda a nna’ hitmaker could no longer hide his identity after ‘running’ but not able to hide.
His mother is Fante, and goes by the name Bless Kwaku Boateng; but in showbiz he is affectionately called ‘Bless’.
Responding to why he decided to go on ‘hibernation’ after his ‘Meda a nna’ hit-single Bless then revealed that he had not actually ‘hibernated’ but has been ‘cooking’ stuff in the studios of STB Entertainment House-his new management, after some years of enviable good times with the now Head of the Creative Arts industry in the republic of Ghana-Mr. Mark Okraku-Mante, his former manager.
Bless is now out with another ‘hot’ single which is enjoying airplay on the nation’s radio airwaves.
‘Chocho mu cho’ is the title, and he featured the ‘Confession’ hitmaker Kofi Kinaata.
Boneshaker could not help but stand amazed at a performance by Bless doing an old highlife hit tune of veteran highlife musician Pat-Thomas with the help of an acoustic guitar; and that is how he (Bless) responded to an inquiry by Boneshaker about who inspires him (Bless).
According to him (Bless), Pat-Thomas is like a father to him, and before he begin each session of his rehearsal he (Bless) sings a tune made by his father Pat-Thomas.
Following a suggestion by Boneshaker he (Bless) affirmed that he has plans to get in touch with him (Pat-Thomas) to begin working out a masterpiece together with him soon.
Bless was on a week-long radio-tour in the Ashanti Region of Ghana to promote his new hit single ‘Chocho mu cho’ late this June, 2017.
