According to Afari Gyan, political parties have numerous possibilities to participate in electoral processes that support free and fair elections within Ghana’s electoral system.
The NDC abstained from the IPAC meeting on Wednesday, April 21, 2020, which was held to discuss the 2020 parliamentary and presidential elections.
The party claimed it turned down the invitation from the EC because of the organization’s alleged lack of candor, vile deceit, and open prejudice in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the conduct of the 2020 general elections.
In a statement, Johnson Asiedu Nketia said the NDC had concluded that the current EC leadership, which oversaw the rigging of the 2020 general elections and the stolen verdict that resulted from it, lacked the integrity, credibility, and objectivity necessary to preside over any discussions or reviews of the very elections they had rigged.
