E/R; BEPONG-NTOMEM ROAD UNDER CONSTRUCTION: TRADITIONAL AUTHORITIES AND RESIDENTS PLEAD WITH GOVERNMENT NOT TO MAKE IT A POLITICAL GAIN PROJECT
Traditional authorities and residents of Ntomem in the Kwahu South Municipality of the Eastern Region have expressed their gratitude to the government and authorities for hearing their cry through Angel News reportage on their deplorable road.
Speaking to Angel News reporter Oheneba Siaw, the Queenmother of Ntomem Nana Opokua II said they are very happy their road are under construction but will plead to government not to make it as to gain election power and leave it behind as it used to happened.
She further said some light poles have been brought there by the MP Hon Davis Ansah Opoku (OPK) for an electrification and she urged him to connect them as early as possible because there has been some of the poles there for so many years which has been abandoned
On his part, the Assembly member for the electoral area Hon Jocob Kumi Dwamena said they are happy their road are under contraction though but want it to be done as it is going unlike the electricity, they want both to be done to help develope the community.
Meanwhile, some of the traders who spoke to Oheneba Siaw said the road has been their major challenge so if being constructed as it has started it’s going help them a lot. And also urged for the electricity connection
