Three died while others were injured in a fatal accident at the Adukrom water works junction in the Okere district of the Eastern Region, involving a tricycle(Abobo yaa) and a KIA.

The accident occurred on Monday, 16th May 2023.

According to an eyewitness, the tricycle which was loaded with land pillars was descending from Adukrom heading towards Somanya veered into the Kia with registration number GE-7984 Which was coming from Somanya.

According to the Assembly member for Adukrom-,Methodist electoral area Hon Ebenezer Obiri Asare, the accident involved twelve(12) people, with five (5) in the tricycle and seven (7) in the KIA car.

Nine persons sustained injuries and were rushed to the Tetteh Quashie Memorial hospital.

Meanwhile, officials from the Fire Service, police and civilians were at the scene to help retrieve the bodies to the morgue.
