The New Patriotic Party’s candidate for flagbearer, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has called the party’s Ashanti Regional Chairman a coward.
He claimed that Chairman Wontumi, also known as Bernard Antwi Bosiako, was soft and not worth his time.
On October 5, 2023, Agyapong stated in an interview with Starr FM that he was unwilling to involve law enforcement in such cases, contending that brave men should face one another.
I don’t want to discuss Chairman Wontumi, as you can see. I have pardoned him since he is a young man who is new to [the party].
“I assumed a man of courage would constantly declare that if he confronts or threatens me once more, I will likewise stand up to him. But the fact that you turned to the police proves you are a coward, he said.
The Assin Central declared that he will never call the police to settle a dispute like the one between them: “I will not talk about it again. In order for you to see that I am a man, I will confront you and engage in a showdown.
The disagreement between these two NPP leaders started when Chairman Wontumi forbade Kennedy Agyapong from threatening to harm him personally.
