CENTRAL REGION PATRIOTS DECLARE SUPPORT FOR MR STEPHEN NTIM

Press Release

July 4th,2018

CENTRAL PATRIOTS DECLARE SUPPORT FOR MR. NTIM.

Fellow patriots, the time has come for our great Party to elect leaders at the National level. Our party is known to be the beacon of democracy and we have no doubt that the party will come out of this victorious, we thank the current executives for putting in place so far all the necessary arrangements to make this congress a success.

As a party our next National Chairman will become our leader and therefore it is important that we elect somebody who is well vested in our party’s activities, very experienced, competent, trustworthy, very loyal, and dedicated, has the grass root at heart and a true child of the Danquah- Bussia and Dombo tradition.

We the members of Central Patriots (consisting of party members, polling station, constituency and regional executives in the Central Region) believe strongly that the person who has all the aforementioned credentials and even more when it comes to the Chairmanship race is Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim.

As a party, we believe this is not the time to throw away our core values. We don’t have to throw away our values of always rewarding party members who have been extremely loyal and dedicated to our struggle because someone who seeks his parochial interests wants us to forget, we refuse to forget.

Indeed, Mr. Ntim is an excellent example of the caliber of leaders our great party needs, he has lost the bid to become National Chairman three times and in each occasion accepted to work with all the people that was elected. The love he has for this party is Enormous and he has demonstrated that over decades of service. His attitude and leadership style is unique and very rare.

We are very much aware of the gargantuan promises and gifts being handed out to delegates to persuade them to vote for a particular candidate, we urge them not to forget our struggle because of these gifts. We will humbly remind our noble delegates to remind themselves of our presidential primaries in 2007, we had some candidates who gave out thousands of dollars and gargantuan promises to delegates but at the end of the day delegates rewarded hard work, dedication, competence, long service and loyalty to our Party by electing Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo who is now our president.

We remember the mantra then was “yenim wo fri tete”, meaning someone who know from ages past.
It is evidently clear that Mr. Ntim stands out and deserves to be given the nod to lead this great party. We the members of Central Patriots therefore declare our total support for Mr Stephen Ayesu Ntim and urge all delegates to remember our struggle and vote massively for Mr. Ntim, a man who has gone through the mill. We will end with our favorite quotation from Mr Stephen Ntim in the Tamale congress four years ago when he lost to Mr. Afoko, “once again Ntim has lost but our party has won”.

Yes, believe it or not, Ntim believed that even his lost was a victory for our great party. This typifies the faith he has in our party and went ahead to serve the party to the best of his ability without holding back.

Indeed, it is time to reward him, let us not send wrong signals to our very young people of this great tradition that working hard and being loyal to their party is of no use.

Its Ntim’s time.

God bless us all.

“Time Aso oooo Time Aso.”

Thank you.
