Bawumia at the Telecel launch: "Communication plays a vital role in shaping modern society."
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Ghana’s vice president, has emphasized the need for communication for the country’s future.

In her remarks as the honored guest at Telcel’s formal Accra launch, Dr. Bawumia stressed the significance of telecommunications in modern society.
A diverse group of stakeholders, including members of the media, customers, government and community officials, and business executives, witnessed the Vice President’s unveiling of the Telecel brand.
Platinum Night was a high-level, invitation-only event that provided top stakeholders with an opportunity to gain knowledge about the brand.
He emphasized the role that telecommunications play in the modern economy. “Telecommunication is a key factor in the development of our contemporary society,” he stated. It unites individuals, spans gaps, and strengthens communities. Access to dependable and effective communication is not only a luxury in today’s fast-paced society but also a prerequisite for socioeconomic advancement. Additionally, it is essential to Ghana’s digital agenda, which is why I am especially happy that Telecel Group has chosen to invest there.
