Several bales of campaign t-shirts belonging to former president John Dranmani Mahama have been abandoned at the Salaga station in the East Gonja District of the Northern region,
Managers of the station disclosed to mynewsgh.com that they came to work last Friday morning to spot the heaps of t-shirts stuffed in sacks abandoned by an unknown person who has since refused to come for them.
“We came and saw the shirts here and were of the view someone is taking them to Tamale…..when we started loading we were looking for the person to enable us pack them onto the vehicle but till today no one has come to claim ownership”, the station master revealed.
A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who was upset over the development said “When our old ladies were fighting for it, some “leaders” turned their rooms into warehouses and kept them. For whatever reason, only God knows and will deal with them.
For those who have the motorbikes in their houses, which contributed to our lost; God knows what to do to you. Time will expose them”.
Meanwhile a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team in the Ashanti region Godwin Boboobi, has revealed that some executives hoarded party t-shirts in the build up to the December 7 polls.

Meanwhile a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team in the Ashanti region Godwin Boboobi, has revealed that some executives hoarded party t-shirts in the build up to the December 7 polls.
He stated that there was a high demand for party t-shirts at the various rural constituencies in the Ashanti region but executives who had taken delivery of the shirts and other logistics decided to hoard them over unexplained reasons.
According to him, the t-shirts were only released after the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) Madam Charlotte Osei declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the president-elect.
“People were hoarding even t-shirts and released them moments after Madam Charlotte Osei declared the winner of the elections. How can you run a campaign like that”, he asked.
The NDC communicator urged members and executives of the party to desist from the blame game adding that if they decide to chart that path everyone including himself will be culpable of the party’s defeat.
“We should desist from the blame game. Everyone must share in the blame of the party’s loss. After the defeat we must engage in Introspection to determine we individually worked in the party’s interest or selfish interest”
“The defeat was shocking defeat considering the margin of win. I personally paid my dues but the verdict shocked me”, he explained
