Mr. IK, Chief Superintendent In a memo, the commander, second in command, and crime officer, DSP Mr. Charles Chester, of Kokrobite District Police Headquarters, an Accra suburb, assured residents and vacationers on the go that there would be complete security at the various beach resorts during this Easter celebration.
In an interview, the three participants in a police sensitization meeting at Robert Ville in Kokrobite with beach operators in Kokrobite, Bortianor, Oshiyie, and Langma said that their organization has implemented security measures to guarantee that the beaches in the vicinity are secure.
The program, according to the peace police, attempts to stop any impending pockets of violence, which are typical during social events.
As they say, “Prevention is better than cure,” so we wish to avoid any kind of violence during this joyous time of year. In an interview, he stated, “We have sent our men (the patrol squad) to several beaches to make sure our beaches are secure.
“We want that to happen before we act, so we have put measures in place to also ensure that residents in the area are safe,” he continued. “Celebration and violence often go hand in hand.”
There were eighteen managers and directors in attendance. There were also three representatives from Kokrobite, Bortianor, and Tuba in the Assembly.
