Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan is likely to miss the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon after picking up an injury at his Club Al Ahli.

The 30-year-old who had missed Ghana’s crucial World Cup qualifier against Egypt was returning from injury as he started the game for the UAE Champions when they took on Al Jazira in the Arabian Gulf League on Saturday.
Gyan could not last the entire game after sustaining a setback early in the game.
The player was stretched off in the 17th minute and was replaced by Waleed Hussain.
The injury which looked worrying could see the player being sidelined for months hence could miss the Cup of Nations in Gabon.
