KKD stated, “I don’t know whether our president at the time was speaking about how he had planned to govern us.”
He claimed that the problems Akufo-Addo brought up are widespread under his leadership as the nation’s president, adding “they were lies.”
The fact that Akufo-Addo has no sense of shame, did not right the wrongs committed by his predecessor, and has instead brought the nation even greater hardship than when he took office is humiliating, according to KKD.
He listed the high cost of living, the dearth of employment opportunities for young people, the rise in corruption and impunity, as well as the NPP government’s creation of riches for a select group of family and friends, as issues that Akufo-Addo campaigned against in order to win the support of Ghanaians.
He believes that Akufo-Addo has failed miserably because, despite being aware of the country’s problems and potential remedies, he has not developed any plans to alleviate the suffering of the populace.
