Ghanaian comedienne and media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has taken a comic Sunday special swipe at her tribes mate in a new Instagram post.
The radio presenter and actress who is known for her controversial utterances posted a video teasing Ashantis, an ethnic group in the middle belt of Ghana about their phonetic shortfalls.
Afia who was speaking in Twi said sitting next to an Ashanti person in church could be tiresome especially when the person gets into the “worship spirit.”
She went on to demonstrate in a song, how Ashantis tend to switch the letters ‘R’ and ‘L’ when they speak. Watch the video below.

Ethnic groups in Ghana face various stereotypes that are usually as a result of language, food preferences or general social behaviour.
For the Ashantis, many believe the phonetics in the language impair the correct placement and pronunciation of words that have the letters ‘R’ and ‘L’ in them.
Since Afia is an Ashanti herself, she may be able to get away with this swipe.
Earlier on, she shared a lovely photo of her and her twin sons headed for church. She captioned the photo, “A family that prays together, slays together. Blessed Sunday Africa”
