The police released the information in a press conference today, Accra-based Atinka FM reported.
Vigilant police officials are said to have suspected that something was different about him and so subjected him to interrogations which revealed that he was an impostor.
He was subsequently arrested.
A search conducted on him revealed that he had a gun, mobile phones and handcuffs.
The police also retrieved 30 Ghana military uniforms and one US military uniform from him.
The arrest of Geh, who is set to appear in court, will provoke questions as to how a fake security official with a gun was able get close to the president.
