After Kwame A Plus decided to run for the Gomoa Central seat in the upcoming general elections in 2024, attention has also been drawn to Naana Eyiah Quansah, the incumbent.
Kwame A Plus had already announced during his father’s funeral that he would run as an independent candidate for the office of Member of Parliament.
“I won’t be running against the NDC or NPP in 2024. I’ll remove the local MP from office. I will win any contest I enter with someone. I am very certain that I will win this seat, he declared.

I am the most powerful person. In 2024, neither the NPP nor the NDC should run for the seat; instead, they should permit me to enter parliament without opposition, he told the reporters.
Since the end of the 7th parliament through the 8th parliament of the Fourth Republic, the Gomoa Central seat has alternated between the NDC and NPP.
The NDC held the office from 2012 to 2016, and then the NPP took over in 2020.
