Okyeame Kwame no longer identifies as a full-fledged Christian despite having been born and raised in the Christian faith, attending a Methodist church, and adopting Christian principles during his formative years.
He added that as an adult, he had come to value many parts of various religions, adopting an omnist perspective.
“I was raised in the Christian faith up until I was maybe 14 years old. I was born a Christian in the Methodist Church. My values are primarily Christian. My dad was a devout Catholic.
“Since my mother attended a Methodist church, I was raised participating in catechism and similar activities. Considering that I attended an Anglican school, the most of my socialization has been Christian. But I don’t believe I can fully identify as a Christian in my adult life. I identify as an omnist,” he declared.
The Rap Dacta went on to say that he adheres to African tradition when it comes to respecting nature and trees and rivers; Buddhism when it comes to the Buddhist teaching that you should love your neighbor as yourself; Christianity when it comes to the teaching that you should love your neighbor as yourself; but he also becomes a Muslim due to his extreme respect for God and love for him.
