In a sad report, at least thirteen people have been confirmed dead in an accident at Konongo on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.
Per what we gathered, the accident happened on Sunday evening around 10 pm and the accident was between an Accra-Kumasi bound bus and a Cargo Truck.
According to eyewitnesses, one bus attempted to overtake another vehicle and this led to a head-on collision resulting in the accident.
People who died as a result of the accident are 9 males and 4 females. A report by Starr FM revealed that those who are injured have been rushed to the Konongo Government hospital for treatment.
This comes just weeks after two people died while eleven others got critically injured following an accident at Ekumfi Esaakyire on the Winneba-Cape Coast High way.
The accident happened between a Toyota Fish vehicle with registration number CR-748-17 and a Sprinter bus with registration number GT-5860-20.
Giving background details on the unfortunate incident, the highly esteemed news portal indicated that the Toyota vehicle fully loaded with passengers was traveling from Accra to Cape Coast and the Sprinter bus was also traveling from Mankessim to Accra when they collided at the sharp curve at Ekumfi Esaakyire.
