12 SHS in Western North to face-off in 2023 NSMQ Regional qualifiers
The Western North region is gearing up for an exciting showcase of intellectual prowess as 12 Senior High Schools (SHS) prepare to participate in the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz Regional Qualifiers.
Slated for Thursday, 8th June, 2023, this highly anticipated event will bring together some of the brightest minds from various schools to compete for a chance to advance to the national stage.
The participating schools include St. Joseph Senior High School, Juaboso Senior High School, Bibiani Senior High Technical School, Bia Senior High Technical School, Queen’s Girls SHS, Sefwi Bekwai SHTS, Dadieso SHS, Sefwi Wiawso SHTS, Sefwi Wiawso SHS, Bodi SHS, Asawinso SHS, and Nana Brentu SHS. Each institution will field a team comprising their most knowledgeable students in science and mathematics.
The competition will be in three contests which Contest 1 consists of St. Joseph Senior High School, Juaboso Senior High School, Bibiani Senior High Technical School and Bia Senior High Technical School.
Contest 2 will engage Queen’s Girls SHS, Sefwi Bekwai SHTS, Dadieso SHS, and Sefwi Wiawso SHTS.
Sefwi Wiawso SHS, Bodi SHS, Asawinso SHS and Nana Brentu SHS will battle for a slot in Contest 3.
The winners of the Regional Qualifiers will progress to the national stage of the competition, where they will compete against the top-performing schools from across the country.
The National Science and Maths Quiz is an annual science and mathematics content-based national-level quiz competition for senior high schools in Ghana. It has been produced by Primetime Limited, an education-interest advertising and public relations agency, since 1993.
