Eddie Nketiah, an English-born striker with Ghanaian ancestry, has gained notoriety for his outstanding performance for Arsenal in their 3-2 triumph over Manchester United.
On Sunday, January 23, 2023, the Gunners defeated Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in a comeback to keep a one-game lead in the Premier League standings.
Before putting in the game-winning goal for the Premier League leaders in overtime, Nketiah equalised for the Gunners in the 89th minute.
“Eddie is accomplishing amazing things. We can’t say we saw it, but we were hopeful he could because of who he is, how he thinks, what traits he possesses, and how those qualities mesh with the squad.”
He continued, “Losing Gabby [Jesus] was a big blow and it remains a big blow today, but Eddie is responding and the team is responding, I think, in an outstanding way.
