Vacate the seat, apologise and Come home, you are disgracing Tamale North – Constituents to Alhassan Suhuyini

A minority group within the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Executives in the Tamale North Constituency have descended on the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Alhassan Suhuyini, describing him as an arrogant and shameful person who continues to put the name of the constituency in bad light.

According to a statement signed by the group, Mr. Suhuyini is noted for showing disrespect to the elderly and the young, adding that he has failed to tap into the benefit of hindsight to learn from his political seniors from the North.

‘’ Hon Alhassan Suhuyini apart from his mischievous and arrogant conduct, is a would-be fine brain from our part of the country as he had an opportunity to learn from his senior colleagues such as Hon Inusah Fusieni, Haruna Iddrisu, Hon Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin just to mention but few’’ they argued.

They chronicled some incidents that took place including the recent one that earned their MP a sack from the floor of parliament as ample evidence of disgraceful behavior on the part of the MP and are therefore requesting him to apologise for his conduct.

They said ‘’ We are therefore calling on Hon Alhassan Suhuyini Sayibu to as a matter of urgency apologize to the people of Ghana, Parliament and the people of Tamale North Constituency for his continuous arrogance and shameful behaviour’’.

PRESS RELEASE: ALHASSAN SUHUYINI MUST APOLOGISE

We the constituents of Tamale North will no longer sit unconcerned to allow our member of Parliament Hon Alhassan Suhuyini Sayibu to continue to drag the name of our constituency in the mud.

Thankfully today, the era of Chieftaincy politics is over and done with where constituents are now free to exercise their franchise base on their individual convictions that certainly will be based on policies, decency and development rather than the continues deception that has taken over the constituency all this while.

We call on Alhassan Suhuyini to take introspection of his conduct that in no way has helped the course of this constituency since he became our representative in parliament.

Hon Alhassan Suhuyini apart from his mischievous and arrogant conduct, is a would-be fine brain from our part of the country as he had an opportunity to learn from his senior colleagues such as Hon Inusah Fusieni, Haruna Iddrisu, Hon Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin just to mention but few.

Alhassan Suhuyini’s continues arrogance has earned him so much resentment even within his party as he exhibits it in and out of parliament towards the elderly, the young, men and women.

Some of his disgraceful conducts include but not limited to,

1)The lie he championed against Hon Boakye Agyarko, where he and some of his colleagues deliberately told a lie against Mr Agyarko to the extent that Mr Agyarko had offered them bribe for him to be confirmed as the energy minister without the knowledge of his party leadership. As you may all be aware , Hon Ayariga had to apologize for it.

2) The ‘Show me your white pant’ disgraceful statement he made on live television, where he had asked a television hostess to show her pant to him on live Television.

3) The last but not in anyway the least, his shameless arrogant conduct exhibited in Parliament on the 6th of February 2019, when his conduct earned him a sack from parliamentary sitting by the first Deputy Speaker.

We are outraged by his continuous arrogance and shameful behaviour since he became our member of Parliament.

We do not wish to be tagged as people who were not brought up properly by his conduct, we come from that part of the country where respect for the elderly is considered a proud value which must be exhibited at all times.

We are therefore calling on Hon Alhassan Suhuyini Sayibu to as a matter of urgency apologize to the people of Ghana, Parliament and the people of Tamale North Constituency for his continuous arrogance and shameful behaviour.
