Selina Boateng and her spouse started their marriage journey in 2019 with the intention of growing their family.
But during the next three years, they experienced two successive miscarriages, which was a difficult blow to their wish for a child.
The gospel singer said that her first and second pregnancies were failed in an interview that aired on December 16, 2023 on The Delay Show. She also described how the incident occurred.
“I miscarried after two months of being pregnant in my first year of marriage,” she stated. “I miscarried after four months of my second pregnancy, which occurred in the second year. By God’s grace, the third was successful throughout its third year.
Selina Boateng responded, “The doctor was not specific about what was causing that except that they mentioned stress,” when asked what could have caused the miscarriages. I believe the reason could be because I was constantly traveling and performing.
“So, they told me to get enough sleep for the third one. They tied my womb, so I was able to give birth even if I did not rest how they desired.
Samuel Opoku Berchie is the son that Selina now has.
Meanwhile, the performer explained her height as the result of motherhood, refuting claims that she put on weight via overindulgence in food.
She remarked, “I feel very bad about the act of body-shaming, especially in light of my weight gain after giving birth.” It’s a normal procedure for my body to alter after giving birth, and I’m not the only one. Certain remarks are quite hurtful, yet others inspire me to start a weight loss program.
The importance of realizing that weight increase following childbirth is a “common occurrence and can result from various factors” was stressed by her further.
