Residents of Nyinahin Junction Electoral Area get footbridge

Residents of Nyinahin Junction Electoral Area of the Atwima Mponua District in the Ashanti Region have been relief with a fresh wooden- footbridge which in estimation to serve over 1000 residents and farmers.

The bridge which links Nyinahin Junction Electoral area to Nyinahin the District capital and other areas like Nyinahin Baakoniaba Bush Road, Kyekyewere, Nkyensenkrom, Boboso and Demereku has in dilapidated state for so many years without attended to.

The collapsed the wooden foot-bridge posed danger to the lives of commuters for a very long time with clarion call on the authority help but hit on deaf ears.

This time around, a Pentecost Elder, Mr Daniel Osei has come to their aid to construct a new wooden-footbridge to save them from the deplorable state and fear and panic they were going through.

According to residents, it was very difficult and dangerous crossing the drain especially when its rainy season, their food stuff get rotten cannot transport them for market.

“We have been through hell because of this bridge, our produced have always gone waste and rotten” residents added

Elder Daniel Osei who is vying for Assemblyman’s position for the electoral area said, the reconstruction of the footbridge will help especially the farmers to ease their burden most in carrying their food stuff to Nyinahin for market.

The effort by the Elder has earned the support from his people as they assured him of their votes in the upcoming district level elections.

Speaking to TVNEWSGH.COM, Elder Daniel Osei said, the welfare of the people is paramount that is why he has spent GHC 5000 to repair the poor nature of the footbridge.

He therefore called on them to give him the nod as their Assembly man and promised to more when get the opportunity.
