President Appoints Deputy Special Prosecutor

Prez Akufo-Addo appoints Mad Lamptey as Martin Amidu’s deputy

President Nana Akufo-Addo has nominated Mrs Cynthia Jane Naa Korshie Lamptey, a lawyer, as the Deputy Special Prosecutor.

This was contained in a communique to Parliament and read by the Speaker, Professor Mike Aaron Ocquaye, on Thursday April 26.

Ms Lamptey has been practising law for 30 years.

The communique has been referred to the Appointments Committee of parliament for her vetting.

If approved, she will be deputising Mr Martin Amidu, the Special Prosecutor.
