Photos: Lady made to pick rubbish on the streets after police caught her littering

Looks like the War against indiscipline is finally gaining momentum as more and more people are becoming aware of the effect our uncontrolled littering of our environment has on human health and life.

A lady who was caught by a policeman throwing rubbish on the street was made to pick up rubbish in the surrounding area as punishment.

After the Photos hit the internet, netizens have heaped much praise on the act, saying if such instant punishments were encouraged, it could make our Environment cleaner by changing attitudes.

Accra suffers from perennial floods due to choked drainage systems in the city. Municipal authorities have had a hard time dealing with the issue and lives are lost almost everytime it rains for an hour or two.
