OWERRIMAN SHTS HAILS NANA ADDO AND HIS GOVERNMENT
The School Management, Students of Owerriman Senior High Technical School and the entire community of Domeabra, Asante Akim North could not hide their joy as a newly constructed single storey dormitory building was handed over to them on Wednesday 2nd October,2019.
The dormitory which was constructed within eight months was funded by GETFund.
This project will help to solve the accommodation challenges that have engulfed the school since the introduction of the flagship Free SHS program.
The contractor of the building firm, K. Boat Construction Ltd., Mr Kwame Boateng handed over the keys to the edifice to the consultant, who in turn gave them to the school management.
Mr.Christian Atta Kwadwo, headmaster of the school, upon receiving the keys thanked the consultant.
He further expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the government and promised to put the edifice to good use.
“My students, staff and I are overwhelmed.We are very much indebted to the District Chief Executive and Member of Parliament of Asante Akim North, the Education Ministry and the President. We are looking forward to more infrastrauctual development,” the elated headmaster said.
Though the project is yet to see the official government commissioning, the authorities have sanctioned its immediate use.
The project which was handed over to the school’s management through a short ceremony as monitored by Virgin City Radio’s reporter, Barima Kwasi-Poku, is one of the numerous projects being undertaken by GETFund in the district to help ensure smooth implementation of the Free SHS.
