DATE OF RELEASE: Tuesday , 1st January, 2019

SUBJECT: NUGS WISHES GHANAIAN STUDENTS A HAPPY NEW YEAR

New Year is the time for merry-making and an assessment of the outgone year. Assessing the previous year ensures that we fashion a much detailed vision for the new year. In the year 2019, it is our prayer that Ghanaian students, in-country and abroad, enjoy better welfare opportunities.

The 52nd National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS ) under the leadership of H. E Tinkaro Osei Asare is privileged to see a new year with you. Our mandate to serve Ghanaian Students which started on the 24th of November 2018 has not been a smooth ride but we made a pledge to make the Union better than we met it, and that is exactly what we will ensure in 2019.

In the coming days, the leadership of the Union will continue with our visits to member institutions to lay down our plans towards reforming the Union, the refurbishment of the Secretariat of NUGS, healing the historical scars of disunity and closing the lacunas in our Constitution that festers lawlessness within the Union.

We ask for your trust, prayers and support in helping fix the aforementioned challenges. In 2019, we must be able to proudly say that the selflessness of the National Executive Committee and the National Executive Officers was exhibited to move the union forward.

We cannot fail NUGS. NUGS must rise and it shall rise with the courage, boldness and selflessness of its leader , Tinkaro Asare Osei and the respective help of National Executive Committee and National Executive Officers

Thank You.
