NPP leaders overrun Bantama as Nana Addo and Kuffuor inaugurate their state-of-the-art office in Kumasi.

With the opening of a cutting-edge constituency office in Bantama, Kumasi, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has once again shown its dedication to bolstering grassroots activities.

Thousands of party supporters, traditional leaders, and political heavyweights attended the event, which took place in the centre of the Ashanti Region, transforming the area into a sea of red, white, and blue.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, and a number of NPP national leaders attended the event, highlighting the importance of the new structure. Abutu of Bantama, a well-liked party stalwart, is leading the project, which has been characterised as a significant improvement in the party’s organisational ability in front of the general elections in 2024.

Equipped with conference rooms, administrative offices, ICT facilities, and meeting rooms, the state-of-the-art office functions as a central location for policy discussions, training, and coordination within the constituency. Party insiders claim that the facility is intended to provide the Bantama NPP with a strategic and mobilising advantage.

During the building’s unveiling, President Akufo-Addo praised Abutu and other donors for their vision and dedication to the party’s expansion. He characterised Bantama as an NPP stronghold throughout history and emphasised that the constituency would be able to solidify its control in upcoming elections with the help of this infrastructure.

Exuberantly, former president Kufuor underlined the significance of leaving behind structures that will outlast people. He pointed out that the new facility will represent continuity and resiliency within the party by serving both the present generation and upcoming NPP leaders.

MPs, constituency leaders, and regional executives also spoke at the event, praising the project as a symbol of progress and solidarity. Throughout the show, chants and drumming from fervent supporters reaffirmed Bantama’s standing as one of the NPP’s most active strongholds.

The NPP has strengthened its organisational presence in Kumasi with the opening of this new office. As the party gets ready for its next election contest, party strategists think it will act as a central command centre for operations throughout the Ashanti Region and beyond.
