Under the direction of National Youth Organiser Salam Mustapha, the party’s Youth Wing arranged the protest march known as “Yƛn Suro Ahunahuna,” which attracted hundreds of supporters.

Around 9:00 a.m., protesters left the Obra Spot, where they had been gathering since 6:00 a.m., to go to the Ghana Police Headquarters to deliver a petition to Christian Tetteh Yohuno, the Inspector General of Police.

Mr Mustapha, who presented the petition, voiced his concerns about what he described as a trend of “Rambo-style” arrests and bail denials for party members and social media critics. He mentioned the recent arrests of Adenta Kumi, Okatakyie Afrifa, Bono Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC, social media celebrity Fante Comedy, and Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi.

Mr Mustapha compared this to how the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) acted. According to him, NDC National Vice Chairman Alhaji Awudu Sofo Azorka attacked NPP third vice chairman Alhaji Osman Masawudu and Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, among other NPP leaders, with threats and assaults.

In order to create an unforgettable experience for the audience, Daddy Lumba, who was also scheduled to perform at the event, joined him on stage halfway through the performance to act as both the hypeman and the backing vocalist.

The rare movie provides a priceless look into the early years of the two artists’ illustrious careers and their captivating stage presence for many viewers, particularly younger admirers.

Admiration and nostalgia have dominated social media responses, with several users even getting chills when they see the icons at their best.
