MEDIA REPORTS ON ‘BUTCHER’ OF SUAME CONSTITUENCY CHAIRMAN UNTRUE
Our attention has been drawn to some media publications with gory images that purports that the Suame Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress has been butchered.
We find these publications and accompanying images exaggerative and untrue. We state to allay the fears of the public that the alleged ‘butchered’ and ‘bedridden’ Suame Constituency Chairman is hale and hearty.
We are however appalled by the deliberate circulation of carefully chosen horrific images to conveniently place the NDC and the NPP on the same level of thuggery and violence. Nevertheless, we admit that there was a family altercation on Monday February 11, 2019 at a joint meeting of Suame and Tafo constituency members in Kumasi. The Regional Executive Committee has since taken steps to resolve the matter.
We urge the media to be circumspect and report facts devoid of unhealthy embellishments moving on.
