Kotoko have rubbished reports that they have met Egyptian side Arab Contractors over a friendly game to mark the 20th Anniversary Celebrations of Life Patron, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
There were reports on Tuesday that Kotoko have met with officials of Arab Contractors in Ghana and agreed to play the ceremonial game in Kumasi.
Deputy Greater Accra Representative, Nana Kwame Danquah, tells Kotoko Express App the club has not met with Arab Contractors.
The club met representatives of Scheer Group on Monday, and Nana Kwame reveals the meeting discussed various issues, including the organisation of the anniversary game by German-based company.
“We are in advanced talks with Scheer Group to agree on a partnership deal that would make the company our international partners. We have also given them the mandate to organise the anniversary match. That was what we discussed when we met on Monday before their meeting with Executive Chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei, on Tuesday.”
