KotokoAsec1992:Kum Apem WhatsApp group Donates to Paralysed Kotoko Supporter

 

Asante Kotoko supporters’ group on WhatsApp known as ‘Kum Apem’ has made a heartwarming donation to Kwame Arhin, a supporter who has been paralysed since 1992 due to ‘juju’.

It is believed that Kwame Arhin, 70, during the 1992 Champions League match between Asante Kotoko SC and Ivorian side Asec Mimosas, took a substance believed to be ‘juju’ from Asec Mimosas goalposts which subsequently caused his ailment a day after the incident.


Some supporters have claimed that Kotoko won the match by 3-2 through his action.

However, he has been forgotten to face the other side of life which is heartbreaking.

But the group, whose sole aim is to support Asante Kotoko SC and those who through diverse ways have contributed to the progress of the Ghanaian giants upon hearing the news, paid a visit to support the man today.

The delegation led by Chairman Solomon Ofosu-Ware were made up of some Executives of the group George Forson (President), Agnes Obour (Secretary) Razak Abubakar, Agnes Obour, Dr. Daniel Owusu-Ansah ( Lecturer KNUST), and Enock Owusu donated Cash Amount: 2,000, Foo stuffs Wheel chair, toiletries, sanitizers, gloves radio, water amongst others.

Speaking at a short ceremony at the residence of Kwame Arhin at Feyiase, Chairman Solomon Ofosu Ware said, ” We were dazzled when we heard his distasteful situation, so, we organised ourselves to support him”.

“It is absolutely unfortunate incident, and what is more scrupulous is how for so many years he has been neglected.” He added

“We are here to support the club and situations like this one. We will continue to offer our widowsmite to provide relief for him.” he concluded.
