Kevin Taylor taking arrest warrant for a joke – Maurice Ampaw

Ghanaian legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has stated that social commentator, Kelvin Taylor may not have things end very well for him if he keeps taking the warrant issued for his arrest lightly.

He warned that Kelvin should not think staying in the United States will prevent him from being arrested as Ghanaian security agencies are ready to fish him out and transport him back to Ghana to face the law.

“If you commit a crime, the whole international community will fight against you. The moment a judge issues a warrant for your arrest, security agencies in Ghana will take it up and put you on an internet red alert. They will trigger the whole world that you are a wanted person,” he told UTV’s Afia Pokua in an interview.

High Court Judge, Justice Eric Kyei Baffour, last week, issued an arrest warrant directing the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the National Security and the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), to arrest the social media commentator for his derogatory comments about him.

Amongst several other allegations, Mr. Taylor claimed Justice Kyei Baffour has been seriously acting on the command of President Nana Akufo-Addo and National Security Minister, Mr. Kan Dapaah.

Nonetheless, a few days after the warrant was issued, he said he does not feel intimidated about it.

Kelvin Taylor said the arrest warrant seeking to drag him to Court for contempt does not in any way scare him.

However, reacting to his response, Maurice Ampaw said the process of declaring Kelvin a suspect to the world has begun.

“The US embassy will be contacted and then Kelvin will be located, and he will be brought back,” he added
