IMPUNITY & SHOW OF POWER AS PRESSURE MOUNTS ON IGP TO INTERDICT A BANK GUARD POLICEMAN OVER BLOODY ASSAULT

Social media has been flooded with a viral video involving a uniform policeman Manning a bank and a woman purported to be in her mid 30s.

In the said 13MB which is equivalent to some one minute and twenty- six seconds. A uniformed Manning police armed guard was captured in the said video displaying gross misdemeanor and physically manhandling a baby mother over resistance and resentment by the woman who insisted that though banking hours had elapsed she would still defy the security at the gate and enter the to withdraw an amount of GH¢250 respectively.

The incident which happened at the Midland Savings and Loans limited Zion House, east legon shiashie a suburb in the greater Accra region, attracted many onlookers as well as passer’ by to the scene.
The disgruntled woman who will not succumbed to any wise counsel and advised by the Manning guard infuriated the policeman leading to a physically assaulting the lady and rendering her to pulp.

A native of Dome Kwabenya Hon. Mustaphar Hadji is calling on the inspector general of police, Mr. David Asante Apeatu, Interior and Defense Committee in Parliament, Interior Minister, Hon. Ambrose Dery as well as human rights crusaders and civil society organizations to step in by bringing the officer to book and also made to face the full rigorous of the law.
Though a press statement has been released by the bank to that effect many still think that the content in that said communiqué is not enough to serve as a deterrent to others and so the police hierarchy should do more in that regard by giving punitive sanctions to the culprit involved.
