“I am still the Regional 2nd Vice Chairman” -Kingsley Kofi Karikari-Bondzie

 

I am still the Regional 2nd Vice Chairman. I have not moved or abandoned my position.

The decision to Act as 1st Vice is a Constitutional one Pending the determination of the status of the 1st Vice at the Disciplinary Committee.

I pray this issue is resolved amicably for us to have the unity that we deserve as a region.

Recap on the 13th December, 2019, the Regional Chairman for the Central Region issued a statement promoting the 2nd Vice Chairman to 1st Vice Chairman position which is occupied by the benevolent Ekow Ewusi but in response the 2nd Vice Chairman Issued the above statement claiming he is still the 2nd Vice.

CENTRAL REGION NPP APPOINTS MR KINGSLEY KOFI KARIKARI-BONDZIE AS THE ACTING REGIONAL 1ST VICE CHAIRMAN

At its meeting held on Friday,13th December,2019, the Central Regional Steering Committee of the party ,on behalf of the Regional Executive Committee, has appointed the Regional 2nd Vice Chairman, Mr Kingsley Kofi Karikari-Bondzie, as the Acting Regional 1st Vice Chairman.

The Central Regional Executive Committee, on the 31st of July, 2019, adopted the Regional Disciplinary Committee’s recommendation to suspend the then Regional 1st Vice Chairman, Mr Horace Ekow Ewusi, indefinitely. Mr Ewusi’s indefinite suspension was later upheld by the National Steering Committee in August, 2019 which the General Secretary subsequently granted a radio interview to that effect.

It is on the basis of this that the Regional party, acting in accordance with the party’s constitution, has appointed the Regional 2nd Vice Chairman, Mr Karikari-Bondzie, to act as the Regional 1st Vice Chairman.
