François wishes all Muslims Eid Mubarak

François wishes all Muslims Eid Mubarak

Eid Mubarak, is a traditional greeting reserved on the occasion of Eid-ul Fitr and the response is “KHAIR MUBARAK” which means “good will on the person who greets you”.

Dreams do not work unless you work towards it. Muslims have observed the one month period of fasting and prayers as it’s done every year. And as per the Islamic norms, Eid-ul Fitr is celebrated to mark the end of Ramadan.

Unlike previous Ramadan festivities, that of this year was entirely different due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Muslims, therefore, encountered a lot of difficulties which include their inability to gather and pray in their numbers. The Eid prayers have also suffered same but in all, we give thanks to Almighty Allah as He knows best.

As Muslims across the globe celebrate Eid-Ul Fitr today, I wish them a successful Eid. May Allah answer their prayers and by extension, save this country and world at large from the deadly pandemic which has befell us.

I would like to also urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue with the decent lives they lived during the month of Ramadan.

Once again, I wish all Muslims, EID MUBARAK
