Don’t Contest To Save Your little Integrity Left Because Gangatual Defeat await You – NPP Kintampo North  Youth Organiser Urges Mahama

The Kintampo North Constituency Youth Organizer of the Ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Honorable Joseph Nanga Nyindam also known as “MUTUMINA” is urging the Former President, John Dramani Mahama who is currently the Presidential Candidate of the opposition NDC to resign if he thinks that he has any integrity to protect.

The youth Organizer stated categorically on GBC Kintampo Radio (Weekend review) that, the Former President said he will prosecute any of his appointees in his second term if they should involve in any corrupt acts. This same promise should hold for him.

According to the Youth Organizer, there were series of events relating to corruption under his watch as Vice President and later as President bringing himself and his Offices into disrepute.

Among these corrupt acts include;

•Airbus scandal.
The Airbus itself in a case in the British Serious Fraud Office (SFO) stated that, they bribed some countries including Ghana to influence them in the purchase of their Airbus.

•STX KOREAN DEAL
“The former president JM was at the helms of affairs as far as the deal was concerned. An amount of Ten Billion dollars ($10 billion), was agreed on to build two hundred thousand (200,000) affordable housing units. Where is that money as we speak?” The youth organizer quizzed.

•HOPE CITY PROJECT
A whooping sum of 10 billion Ghana cedis was meant for the hope city project. According to the youth organizer, the project never materialized.

•Gh¢3.6million cedis bus branding saga.
News headlines in the late 2015 were dominated by the Smarttys bus branding scandal, where 116 Metro Mass Transit (MMT) buses were rebranded at a cost of Gh¢3.6 million. The cost for rebranding these buses was seen as ludicrous and the Attorney General got involved, demanding refunds be made. The outcry lead to the resignation of the Minister of Transport, Mrs. Dzifa Attivor, in December that year.

•GYEEDA, SADA, GRA SCANDALS
Also under the NDC was the 2013 GYEEDA scandal, uncovered by Joy FM’s Manasseh Azure Awuni, whose investigation led to policy change in the running of the agency. The reporter found out that millions of cedis were paid illegally to contractors of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA).

Massive corruption hit Ghana’s Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) – information available indicates that, it had misappropriated millions of Ghana Cedis allocated to it. Investigations showed that SADA paid Gh¢32,498,000 to ACICL to plant five million trees in the savannah zone, but could only account for about 700,000 trees.

•FORD GIFT
President Mahama caused outrage across Ghana when it was revealed he accepted a gift of a Ford vehicle from a construction firm bidding for a lucrative government contract. The contractor in Burkina Faso, who had previously built a wall on Ghanaian Embassy land in Ouagadougou, gifted the Ford in 2012. However, this scandal came out in 2016.

GUINEA FOWLS AND RLG LAPTOPS
To add up to the above were the flown guinea fowls that found their way into Burkina, Azontaba, the rlg Mahama branded inferior laptops by Ronald Agambire and many other corruption scandals. Upon all the money blown, most of these projects and contracts never materialized in this country.

In conclusion, If the Former President has indeed any integrity to protect as far as the next Presidency in Ghana is concerned, he should quickly as a stateman resign from the up-coming elections to protect his image from being tarnished.

I admonish him to resign from contesting in the up-coming elections to save the sinking NDC.

Thank you,

JOSEPH NANGA NYINDAM
