The two Chinese nationals who reportedly inflicted knife wounds on a teenage Ghanaian employee in Kumasi, are set to be out before court following their arrest.
The two, Liu Zhen Zhou and Liu Wan, have been charged over the incident which occurred last week.
“They were cautioned and have now been charged, and will be put before court… the suspects have been charged with the offense of causing harm,” the Deputy Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations officer, Prince Dogbatse told Citi News. The victim, Peter Frimpong, aged 19, has since received treatment for his wounds and has been discharged from the hospital.

Peter Frimpong, who was employed by the Chinese plastic recycling company a month ago, said he was beaten and stabbed multiple times by two of his Chinese bosses.
Reports from eyewitnesses say the managers were reportedly upset that Peter was idling at work.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has also called on relatives of the 19-year old to cooperate with its officers as they investigate the matter.
“The assurance I can give to the relatives of the victim is that they should cooperate with police. We would ensure that prosecution goes through and justice is served,” Prince Dogbatse said.
Abuse by expatriate bosses
Over the last few years, concerns have been raised about the treatment of Ghanaians working under expatriate superiors.
The Transport and Petroleum Workers Union of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) embarked on a protest march in the Western Region, against the maltreatment of Ghanaian workers by expatriate employers.
This follows an incident involving an Italian supervisor at Gateway Logistics Limited who chained a Ghanaian employee to a container for failing to complete his task.
In another case reported by Citi News, a female Ghanaian supervisor at Peterpan Restaurant in Accra was slapped with hot pizza by her Korean employer.
A Lebanese supervisor at the Abelemkpe branch of Marwako restaurant was also jailed nine months for assaulting a Ghanaian female employee.
The supervisor grabbed the neck of the employee and forced her face into a jar of blended pepper.
In most cases, successive governments have been accused of doing very little to protect Ghanaian workers against such inhumane treatment.
