BOSOME FREHO DCE DONATES TO AGOGO PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL

 

 

Hon.Yaw Danso, the District Chief Executive of Bosome Freho in the Ashanti Region has presented Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital.


The donation which the Chief Executive and his spouse sponsored was to aid the health institution and the frontline staff in the fight against the novel coronavirus.
The items which worth several thousands of Ghana cedis, included face masks, Veronica buckets, infrared gun thermometers, bottles of liquid soup, packs of tissue paper, hand gloves and an undisclosed cash amount among others.

The president’s representative of the Bosome Freho District recounted how helpful the hospital has been to the people of his district. He hinted that most people from his area access health care from the facility.

‘This hospital has been a major referral point for people of Bosome Freho’, he said.

He continued to add that the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital has been the second largest health facility in the Ashanti Region and it is well noted for quality health care delivery with selfless and dedicated staff.

He advised the public to adhere to all the safety protocols in order to stop the spread of the virus.

“Patients should not forget to put on their face masks when visiting the hospital, in order to protect themselves and the health workers as well”,he noted.
Dr Williams Thompson, Medical Administrator, acting on behalf of the General Manager of the hospital, Mr Alex N.Kesse, received the items and thanked Hon.Yaw Danso and his wife.

He said, the hospital was badly in need of PPE and especially the infrared gun thermometers.

As the saying goes,” Oliver Twist asks for more”, Dr Thompson appealed to other individuals, organizations and philanthropists to support the hospital in this hard times as they are also ready to continue delivering quality health care service to all.He again pleaded with the DCE to strengthen measures in his district, especially among the market women, to avoid the continues spread of the pandemic. . The short presentation, which saw observance of physical distancing and other safety protocols was attended by:Mr George Osae, Accounts Manager of the hospital, Mrs Damaris Mensah, a Deputy Nursing Manager, Miss Benedicta, Deputy HR Manager among others.

Hon.Yaw Danso was also accompanied by his personal secretary, his colleague DCE for Asante Akim North, Hon Francis Oti Boateng and his Coordinating Director, Mr Nyarko Johnson.
