Audio: NPP Chairman Drops Bombshell, Says Some C/R executives plotting against President Akufo-Addo

Cape Coast North Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Stephen Kojo Arhin has alleged some executives in the party in the region are plotting against President Akufo-Addo’s yet to be declared second term ambition.

Mr. Arhin’s reaction comes in the wake of some misunderstanding happening in the party which resulted in the suspension of the Central Regional 1st Vice Chairman, Mr Horace Ekow Ewusi.

The first vice chairman was suspended by the disciplinary committee for reasons yet to be publicly disclosed. But his colleagues who are members a group called “Concerned Chairpersons” of the party in the Central region have describe the suspension as illegal, mischievous and one which seem to settle a personal interest.

Reacting to the issue on Okay Fm today monitored by Ghanacrusader.com, Mr. Stephen Kojo Arhin popularly known as ‘Wewebi’ accused the Central Regional Chairman Robert Kutin of creating conflicts, disaffections and confusions in the party.

He alleged that Chairman Kutin only has the penchant of suspending executives and not the wellbeing of the party.

“People who have toiled sweat and blood for the party for many years are those that, he wants to frustrate. We will not agree, we started this party way back in 1992 and nobody can intimidate us. President Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, Sammy Awuku and others should wake up else…..’’

He opined that, the attitude of chairman Kutin backed by some executives will not augur well for the party and will lead the party into opposition.

Mr. Stephen Kojo Arhin said, the reactions and actions of Chairman Kutin are as a result of some belief in certain quarters of the party that President Nana Addo is not performing.

This he said, is what has influenced some party executives hence their intention to cause misunderstanding in the party just for Nana Addo to serve one term.

He challenged that, no actions by anybody can stop Akufo-Addo from serving for the second term.

“Nana Addo is going to win and would win hands down.”
