Arjit Taneja bids an emotional goodbye to Kumkum Bhagya

Television actor Arjit Taneja, who is seen playing the role of Purab on Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, has finally left the show.
The actor has also shot his last sequence of the show and has bid adieu to the cast of the show after being associated with it for over two years.
Apparently, Arjit was in talks with the Balaji Telefilms from about six months about his exit from the show. The media reports suggest that the actor was not happy with the way his character was being shaped up lately.
Though, initially Purab’s character was quite well defined. In fact, his wedding track on the show bagged him a lot of attention. However, post the death of his onscreen lady love Bulbul (played by Mrunal Thakur), the makers somehow shifted the focus from his character and his part was cut short. The show became all about Abhi (played by Shabbi Ahluwalia) and Pragya’s (played by Sriti Jha) love story.
In fact, there have been instances where he just got to shoot barely twice a week, since his character has nothing much to do in the serial.
Arjit was, reportedly, bored by the stagnancy of his character and hence chose to leave ‘Kumkum Bhagya’.
The show has been quite popular amongst the audience and is topping the TRP charts as well. However, Arjit’s exit has left the fans heartbroken.
Interestingly, it is with ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ that Arjit Taneja became a household name.
The actor, who also participated in MTV Splitsvilla season 6, was also seen in Sony channel’s ‘Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do’.
While Arjit will soon be replaced on the show, the makers are still looking for the perfect replacement for his character Purab.
The actor posted a video on Instagram with a heart-warming message that read:

I don’t have words to express how much I will miss each and everyone of you. You all have been my family since almost 3 years and have literally taken care of me like a kid and even spoilt me to an extent 😉 I’ve actually grown up in these 3 years and learnt so much from everyone, I feel I’m passing out of school and going to college! It was really tough to let go of this show but I had to move on and I can go on and on and on about all of it So THANKYOU guys ❤️ and I can proudly say it really is the best team Everrr and the production house too! , I LOVE YOU
