The Ashanti Regional Police Command has interdicted three (3) Police Officers following the alleged assault resulting to the death of one Kofi Ampomah a.k.a Barluso,a resident of Adomfe,a town in the Asante Akim South.This happened in an operation carried out by the Konongo Division Task Force on Monday 14th October,2019.
The Command has commenced a general investigation into the matter and has tasked the Regional Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) to Al’s institute internal administrative investigation investigation into the conduct of the officers and report accordingly.
Per a release intercepted by Virgin City Radio,in all nine(9) officers embarked on the operation but three (3) were cited having allegedly taken part in the incident hence their interdiction.They are General Sergeant Suleman Seidu,General Corporal Seth Agbango and General Lance Corporal Salifu Yakubu.
The Regional Police Command is by a release signed by ASP Godwin Ahianyoy,PRO of Ashanti Region,assuring the general public of an independent investigation and justice.
