Dr Robert Kwaku Defia was billed to appear before the vetting committee of the NDC on Wednesday April 5th, 2023 from 10:20 am, according to the timetable scheduled for the vetting of parliamentary aspirants in a press statement release by the NDC.
A Ghanaian young Doctor, Mr Robert Kwaku Defia who is affectionately called Doctor will be vetting by the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest the Atiwa East Constituency Parliamentary primaries on the ticket of the NDC come May 13th, 2023.
Dr.Robert was billed to appear before the members of the vetting committee on the Wednesday 5th April, 2023 from 10:20 am, according to the timetable scheduled for the vetting of parliamentary aspirants in the press statement release by the NDC.
This was disclosed by Dr Robert in an interview with Tv xyz and power fm news Reporter Emmanuel Adjetey, on Sunday 2nd April 2023 to Official update his supporters, friends, sympathisers including the member of the NDC in the constituency.
Dr.Robert entreated the supporters and members of the NDC in the Atiwa East Constituency to strictly abide by current directives issued by the leadership of vetting committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the connection of the vetting guidelines and procedures to ensure peaceful coexistence in the vetting grounds of the aspirants.
The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stated in the press statement that the following directives are to be adhered to by all parliamentary aspirants.
The directives indicates that the supporters of the aspirants should not be more than five (5) who defies these orders will have themselves to blame, aspirants are not to bus supporters to the venue, indiscipline on the part of candidates’ supporters will not be entertained and any aspirants and any bus load of supporters will not be allowed to the venue.
The committee will by guided by the vetting guidelines and will be fair and just without fear or favour ” the statement stressed..
Dr.Robert Kwaku Defia called on delegates and members of the NDC in the area to equally support him to win the NDC parliamentary primaries.
He stressed that he is the only candidate who has the capacity and competent to lead NDC to take over the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) member of Parliament(MP) in the 2024 general elections.
Dr.Robert stated that he will consider any position on the ballot since he can be easily identified on the ballot.
‘I want to call on the delegates and members of the NDC to vote for me win the incoming NDC parliamentary primaries in Atiwa East in order to win the seat for them.
I am not in race for my own personal interests or to win and amass wealth for myself”, Dr Robert reaffirmed.
