It is said that, after elections, there must be cooperation. This wise saying, ever since it’s inception has been the hallmark of every good politician of which Hon Collins Owusu Amankwah cannot be exceptional. We were therefore appalled upon sighting a news item published by https://www.mynewsgh.com and attributed to the Ashanti Regional First Vice Chairman of the NPP and NADMO Director, Hon. Kwabena Nsenkyire in which he sought to downplay and spew blatant lies on the person of the MP for Manhyia North.
We the youth in our constituency would like to establish our case with facts and expose our Ashanti Regional First Vice Chairman on his long standing hatred for the MP ever since he assumed office.
- We are privy to contributions made by the MP in the area of communications right from his tender age in the party till date. That attitude of him has not changed after his defeat in the recent parliamentary primaries. On Tuesday and Wednesday within this week, he was on UTV and Adom TV morning shows defending the NPP.
The MP has been all over the registration centres since its start. We are as well privy to donations made by him at the various centres of which some of us are beneficiaries.
We have never heard the MP, after losing the primaries, made divisionary comments that can affect the party in maximizing votes in the constituency. He is rather on record to have urged the party faithfuls in working hard to maximize votes for the NPP.
We are therefore calling on the Ashanti Regional First Vice of the NPP, Hon Kwabena Nsenkyire to desist from such unfruitful agenda as it has high tendency of deepening cracks within the party in Manhyia North. He, as a leader should have invited the MP to speak to him rather than resorting to the media. Such issues are not meant for public consumption and a person of his calibre should know better.
Long live NPP!!!
Long live Manhyia North!!!
