The strength of a prey depends on that of the predator.The better way to define or explain this popular proverb is to highlight the government of Ghana’s efforts against Covid-19 pandemic. Unequivocally, the government’s effort in the fight against Covid-19 cannot be underestimated as the necessary measures are extensively laid down to curb this deadly virus.
The nation indeed highly appreciate the proactive efforts put in place by the Nana Addo led government to fight the Covid-19. In such a trying moment you have brightened our hope that the nation indeed has a leader and not just that but a father. This effort of the President I undoubtedly say should be a standard for future cases that may arise for it is worth emulating.
The first gentleman of this noble country H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo has being very proactive and on course together with other sectors like the health workers, security service, national ambulance service, the media workers, and other sectors with regards to the fight against Covid-19. Ghanaians say ayekoo to all who are relentlessly helping in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
As the news were lingering in the airwaves concerning how the disease was spreading in other parts of the world, the government swiftly outlined measures to prevent its entrance into Ghana. Unfortunately, as the Akan Adage goes; FOFIE ANTO ATA the deadly virus found its way into Ghana.
This never impeded the assiduous effort by the government but quickly was able to put some necessary measures in place for its citizens in the fight against Covid-19.
*Distribution of PPEs to all the hospitals in the country and the media too.
*Provision of Free supply of water for 3 months
*Provision of free electricity to the poorest pf poor and 50% benefit of electricity for 3 months
*Provision of food for 400,000 vulnerable people at Kasoa,Tema,Kumasi and Accra.
*Provision of 3 months tax free salary for all health workers
*50% benefit of basic Salary for 3 months frontline health personnels
*Free buses to convey health workers in Accra and Kumasi to their various work places
*Allocation of 600 million cedis to support micro,small and medium businesses.
*3 billion credit stimulus package to help revitalize industries.
