There is a buzz going on in Lower West Akim Constituency in the Eastern Region. The constituency office was electrified as 150 delegates stormed the small building to witness an exciting young entrant into the Parliamentary race. The handsome Ivy League educated young man, Kwabena Asamoah who seemed overwhelmed by the response was seen busily shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries with the delegates who had come from all corners of the constituency.
Mr Asamoah revealed that, his decision to contest this year’s parliamentary primaries falls on the numerous calls from members and the grassroots of the party.
Again, he showed his appreciation to the delegates and party faithful for their time and support, as he was handed the forms by the Head of the Elections Committee, The Former MP Hon. Appiatu-Ankrah now the Chairman for the Constituency elections committee.
Mr. Kwabena Asamoah promised to do all he humanely could, to improve their lives and support the work of the President if given the nod. He also told the party faithful that together they will endeavour to fight poverty and look at ways to locally address their challenges. He told them we cannot be too dependent on the central government for almost everything, while the President and his Ministers do all they can to help us, we must also try to help ourselves.
We must devices local solutions to local problems and show we can help the President, instead of us always waiting on the Government to come solve problems that we should be able to solve ourselves locally.
The amazed delegates and party supporters present, started chanting and singing songs with his name and declared, this is a young man to watch in the upcoming primaries!
