Polling Station Executives and Coordinators of Dome-Kwabenya Constituency set to pick Nomination forms for Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo to be re-elected as their MP

Information we are picking from the grapevine indicates that about 500 Polling Station Executives and 10 Coordinators of the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency have expressed their intention of paying for and picking nomination forms for their sitting Member of Parliament, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo.

Their action is premised on the unprecedented development she has championed and they see scattered across the Constituency under her tenure as their MP. These polling station executives and coordinators are of the belief that re-electing Hon. Adwoa Safo is the surest bet of retaining the Constituency as an NPP stronghold and maximising the votes of President Nana Addo in 2020.

One executive in expressing her opinion on the development had this to say, ‘when Hon Adwoa Safo was first presented as an MP in 2012, she increased our votes to 63,373 from the 35000 votes that we got in 2008. Again, as our MP in 2016 she garnered 65,488 making her one of the few political aspirants to increase her votes in her second term’

There is a groundswell of support for the candidature of the sitting Honorable Member of Parliament Adwoa Safo with a favourable outcome, as a casual discussion with a few taxi and trotro drivers in the constituency also showed an appreciable level of support for her candidature. Kwasi, a taxi driver at the Atomic Roundabout Station, had this to say, ‘For Adwoa, we all support her. When I pick passengers and I take them round, I see all the roads being done so I know that she is doing very well and working hard for our Constituency. I dont think NPP have to change her’

Hon Adwoa Safo’s influence within the Constituency is unlimited and unmatched as constituents with different political persuasions have vowed to vote for her come election 2020. This seems to be one of the few rare times that a sitting Member of Parliament is receiving such magnitude of support as she goes for a third term. Although a few people still believe and expect much more from her, they feel supporting her for another term will see her completing projects which have already started and even more.

Hon. Adwoa Safo has distinguished herself as one of the few female MP’s championing the course of her constituency and has been instrumental in providing Educational and Job opportunities, Infrastructural Development and Youth and Women empowerment amongst several other interventions.

These group of polling station executives and coordinators have vowed to retain Hon. Adwoa Safo for the next four years thus their resolve to purchase the nomination forms for her and solidly stand behind her to continue her good works.
